Cairo is the capital of Egypt, located on the banks of the Nile River in the northeastern part of the country. It is a huge city, with a population of more than 16 million people, making it one of the largest cities in the Middle East and Africa. Cairo is also home to one of the world's most famous attractions, the Giza Pyramids.

If you are a tourist, don't expect to drive. Cairo is notorious for having horrible traffic and crazy drivers!
