Maligne Lake - Facts and Visitor Information
Maligne Lake in second largest glacier fed lake in the world, and the largest lake in the Canadian Rockies. It is in Maligne Valley, in Jasper National Park, about 30 miles southeast of the town of Jasper. The lake is stretches to a length of 14 miles, and is 300 feet deep.
There is plenty to do at Lake Maligne, including hiking, canoeing, fishing, and simply just taking in the views of the glacial mountain peaks. You can even visit the landmark Spirit Island.
