Nevada is located in the western United States, bordered by California to the west, Oregon and Idaho to the north, Utah to the east, and Arizona to the southeast. Latest population figures are around 2.5 million, although places like Las Vegas are rapidly growing. In fact, Nevada is one of the fastest growing states in the country, if not the fastest. Relatively low cost of living is probably one of the major draws to living in Nevada.

Nicknamed the "The Silver State", Nevada got its start with the discovery of gold and silver in the middle to late 1800s. It became the 36th state in 1861.
