Chinatown in Manhattan is located on the lower east side of Manhattan. It is south of Little Italy and north of downtown, and east of SoHo. It is home to one of the largest concentrations of Chinese in the western hemisphere, with population estimates around 100,000. Shopping is big in Chinatown, and you will find shops and stalls up and down the streets. You can find everything from traditional Chinese products to knockoff handbags and purses. There are also more than 200 restaurants, where you can get all sorts of traditional Chinese food.
