Vermont is a beautiful state in New England. It is a great place for New Englanders to go to get away, as it is the second least populated state in the country with less than one million people, and has plenty to offer those looking for a break. There is a lot of farmland there, and it is famous for its Vermont Maple Syrup, and also its dairy products. It borders the Canadian province of Quebec, Massachusetts, New York, and is separated from New Hampshire by the Connecticut River. In Vermont are the Green mountains and the White Mountains. Driving through Vermont can be beautiful any time of the year, especially in the fall, with magnificent displays of the autumn colors, and untouched land and rolling hills and mountains as far the eye can see.
Vermont's capital is Montpelier, although it is not the largest city in the state.
