Rates/Cost: average coffee shop prices, and $6-$10 for meals
Address: 976 Garnet Ave, San Diego, CA, 92109

Zanzibar Coffee house is located at 976 Garnet Ave, on the corner of Cass and Garnet. There is not really any parking, so you're best bet is to park on the street. (Or around the corner. There might be a few spots in the alley reserved for Zanzibar, but don't count on it). Altough it is mainly known for it's coffee and tea, they have a pretty decent menu, with prices hovering more or less around $10 for a meal. They also have the normal coffee shop stuff, including juices, deserts, bagels, croissants, etc. There is a pretty decent selection of deserts too, prices ranging from $2 to $5.

Zanzibar is one the older and more popular places on Garnet, and attracts a pretty diverse crowd, from young to old, rich to poor. Bar go-ers use it as a place to catch a breather and a coffee, and students use it as a place to get away and study. There are also maybe 6-8 tables out front on the sidewalk where you can sit and just watch the people go by.
