Poland is located in Central Europe, situated between Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, Russia, and the Baltic Sea. Its capital is Warsaw, and it has a population of near 40 million people.

With a history of wars fought overs its land, and years of shifting borders, Poland is now finally becoming an attractive destination for travelers, with much history to offer. Since the fall of the Soviet Union, Poland became the first former Soviet country (it was a satellite state of the Soviet Union) to hold democratic elections.
