The Swiss Alps
The Alps are a range of mountains. In Switzerland they occupy about 60 to 70 % of the land. The Alps range between (about) 900m and 3000 m. although the Alps go through many countries when people think of them they mostly think of the Swiss Alps because of their magnificence and their beauty. The Swiss Alps are also known because of their nice valleys and their jagged peaks and even their little villages that sit on the foothills. The most famous toothed (jagged) peak is the Matterhorn.
