| We flew into the city on a Friday night from San Diego. It's a quick flight, and then after a 20 minute shuttle ride, we were at our hotel at Fisherman's Wharf. We came specifically to see the Dalai Lama. Since that was the main reason for the trip, we spent the rest of the weekend just relaxing, mostly by Fisherman's Wharf, where we stayed. On Saturday we caught the farmer's market at Ferry Landing, which was better than any other farmer's market I've been too. That evening, we went to dinner at Trattoria Volare, which was excellent. Sunday was the Dalai Lama event, and afterwards we had to head to the airport... A quick weekend, but fun all around. |
