Tahquitz Peak via Devils Slide Trail
September 18, 2005
San Jacinto State Park / San Bernadino National Forest
8 miles
2500 feet elevation gain

Today I hiked Tahquitz Peak, and it was a great hike. I took the Devils Slide Trail route from Humber Park. It took me about 2 hours to get there from San Diego, but it was well worth it. It was my first time in the area, and it was a perfect day weather wise. The walk was a bit strenuous going up, but not too bad. The views all the way up make it worth it. I would definately recommend this trail, and it is relatively painless to get to the trailhead for a first timer, and there's ample parking.
